About the Comic

Labyrinthine Destinies is a story about a woman with a past that weighs heavily upon her and a quest that she assigns herself that will take her far beyond what she knows. The story relies heavily upon the tangled threads of Fate and divine provenance as the main character wrestles with both her past and her future and potential lack thereof.

About the Author/Artist

A. Sorenson has always been interested in art and writing, stemming as far back as she can remember listening to her dad read her stories as a child or doodling rather horrendous cartoon pictures. She made small comicstrips of heroic do-gooders in notebooks never meant to be seen by the public as a young child and constantly sought to improve on her abilities. She went to college and received a Bachelor's of Art in Studio Art which she began to fear would amount to nothing other than the college debt looming over her head. However, she finally pushed herself to try an actual webcomic. Labyrinthine Destinies is roughly 8 years in the making, changing and evolving as the world and her life moved on. The main character is an adapted version of a longtime roleplaying character developed in college and nurtured through the years since that time. The comic itself was meant as a pathway to creating better art with characters that she loves as well as forcing her to draw horrible things called "backgrounds" which was a completely foreign concept.

The author sincerely hopes that you enjoy the webcomic and the journey encapsulated therein. It's as Lao-tzu said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Special Thanks

Special thanks go to my editors/creative directors/cheerleaders, K. Weestrand and C. Graff. Without you two, I probably would have given up because no one held me accountable. Thanks also to my parents, family, and friends for their support in this long process. And thanks go to you, my readers, for without you, there would be little reason to have a webcomic at all. One last thanks goes to my cat, Hermes. Without his faithful distractions, I would have since become glued to my computer chair.
