This is actually a pretty neat page. I was just going to leave the first panel just a solid black originally, but decided that it was really really boring. I figured that I would try to do some "creative bubbling" on it and ended up re-doing that about 15 times until I did this. Just add a few Photoshop effects and I got these nice ghostly bubbles that really reminded me of the opening scenes of the original "Land Before Time" movie (yes, I did just date myself there). However, I tried a lot of new sorts of things with the water effects streaming off of her. I really wanted to give the viewer (i.e. you) that sense of the weight of water, the drag it has on a body, etc. Anyway, don't worry. We're heading out of the water soon... well, within the next few pages. I hate water. ;)
